On average, it takes about 3 full days to kiln dry our wood. It depends on how much moisture is at the center of the wood. We use a long drill to make holes to the center of several pieces of the firewood in different areas of the cart. Wired temperature probes are then inserted into these holes and are connected to a certified data logger to be sure that the internal temperature of the wood reaches 160 degrees for a minimum of 75 minutes. This temperature and time is required to kill all insects, if any, inside the wood and for it to be certified for use in all areas that have a restriction (which is just about everywhere now) on any firewood movement. See the Certifications here.
